Just so i understand... if i am on 2004 now does that mean that next tuesday WU will probably tell me to upgrade to 20H2 just as it did when i stayed on 1903 until the last day ?
MS doesn't force upgrade anymore on any user unless you are approaching end of support. In the case of 2004, end of support is December 14, 2021 (always 18 months from the date of release).

Oh so that means i can stay on 2004 until December ? If yes thanks a lot for the info !

I was asking because last year in around August if i remember right i basically had to install 2004 i'm guessing because 1903's support ended.

But that's why i was asking because i didn't knew how long i could stay on 2004.

Also i'm guessing though that if 20H2 is not showing in WU now it will probably appear again in December correct ?

I would not say until the exact date Dec 14, 2021; it is always a little bit ahead of time as in 3-4 months before (left to MS's discretion). When the time comes, you will start feeling the nagging pressure. Right now I am on 20H2 on my production machine and 21H1 (19043.867) on the non-production one.

The most important thing is always to have a system image backup ready in case something uncalled for happens.

Very interesting. Windows 10 will be losing support in 2025. What comes next?

That sounds so boring, bland, and unspecific.
