Sorry, but no other way to describe this but a mess. I have already installed this update with the help of MUC earlier and now just for curiosity's sake I went to Windows Update and saw this:

    KB5001649 CU Windows 10 v2004 build 19041.870 and v20H2 19042.870-kb5001649-showing-up-again-install.png

My Winver is showing the right build for the successfully installed update in Update history 19042.870. I don't even know what to do or think anymore. I will leave it to MS for now.

If you check for updates it goes away.

Sometimes when I use WAU Manager to install an Update, I see Windows Update does the same thing.
And just like @kado897 said... "Check for Updates" again, and it realizes it's already installed, and clears that issue.

I suggest you Cancel, then resart your PC and check WU again. It should be gone.

You can download the stand alone installer on the first page/post of this topic.

Just FYI... when you go to install this, it looks like it's stuck on about 10%. Just be patient, it'll all of a sudden jump to the end.

I will remember that for next time. One has to admit that there are some issues with this update. I don't remember ever seen a situation like this weird one during all my time using the Windows OS
