Lots of people here use UUP Dump but is it safe? I always assumed that using non official downloads was a bad thing

.906 has the same KB number as .899, I might uninstall that update then try again
UUPDump is safe. It downloads from MS servers.

Downloaded the 19043 insider iso and did an in place upgrade. Could then install the 906 patch.

Used UUPDump to create a 906 iso (god that was slow adding the CU) and did repair install. Now on 906.

Yes it takes awhile to extract everything from 19041 through 19043.906 , unlike MS The Dump works every-time. I spent more time using WU and failing 6 times.

I'm in the same boat (3 failed attempts through WU on the Surface Pro 3). I am switching over to UUPdump and trying the repair install method, too. Will report back.

PS: Running Brink's usually "silver bullet" "Reset WU" batch file did NOT help this time around. This is the first time it has not come through for me. Must be something interesting going on, for sure...

I guess that's why I recently use DISM-GUI to easily install CAB files (click the cab install button on dism-gui to install them)
edit - did you guys install the ssu-19041-903-x64.cab or ssu-19041-903-x86.cab first before installing KB500842 cab?
need to install newest SSU cab first before installing KB5000842 (.906)
Yes, I did install the .cab file (ssu-19041-903-x64.cab) first. And now I have also tried DISM-GUI you linked to. Same error:
    An error occurred - Package_for_RollupFix Error: 0x800f081f

Yeah. I tried that too. The problem seems to be in the files downloaded rather than with how WU is set up.

    Here also happens the error:

    KB5000842 Windows 10 Insider Beta 19043.906 21H1 and RP 19042.906 20H2-captura_2021-03-26_11-51.png

But I noticed that in the installed updates already have a KB5000842 installed days before (problematic printer update) but I also have an error in removing it:
