KB5000842 Windows 10 Insider Beta 19043.906 21H1 and RP 19042.906 20H2 Insider

Downloaded and installed no problems.

If you ran dism /cleanup-image on 899 that is why 906 fails to install.

Re-install windows, ha.

And here. I'm on 19043.899 and the same thing as #51 happens to my Windows 10. I have got the 2 CAB-files, but I don't know what to do with them ?!?


EDIT: I have now tried with DISM and the CAB-files (Brinks tutorial), but still gets the same error: 0x800f081f

I guess that's why I recently use DISM-GUI to easily install CAB files (click the cab install button on dism-gui to install them)

edit - did you guys install the ssu-19041-903-x64.cab or ssu-19041-903-x86.cab first before installing KB500842 cab?
need to install newest SSU cab first before installing KB5000842 (.906)

I had same problem
cbs log reported Manifest doesn't exist for: \\?\C:\Windows\CbsTemp\30876155_753855818\Windows10.0-KB5000842-x64.cab\amd64_microsoft-windows-certificaterequesttool_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.19041.1_none_1e01a107b6c5cadf.manifest.
after that it failed.

and I ended up having to do the uup iso upgrade to fix it.

Lots of people here use UUP Dump but is it safe? I always assumed that using non official downloads was a bad thing

.906 has the same KB number as .899, I might uninstall that update then try again
