    Oh, now I know what you mean. They moved some stuff into Admins tools or somewhere and turned that whole section into a train wreck!
    We now have Windows Tools.

    Notepad and Paint as well, they turned them into buggy store apps, currently looking for a replacement.

    Me, too, and gazillions of others. I've never thought of the tiles as anything but useless.

    Me ... too. I was so disappointed when MS came out with a Win10 Start Menu that seemed little other than a miniature version of the Start Screen. So, I use Start10 on my primary PC and Open-Shell on all the others.

    Well, I tried Start 10, and I used Open Shell for years on W7Pro, but I've found that with the tiles deleted and the menu shrunk from right to left, leaving just the highly editable alphabetic menu, the four icons on the left, and the highly editable right-click menu (mine below), I have all I need in Start without the extra software.

    Each to his/her own. TenForums and its sister sites exist and flourish because each of us wants Windows to run the way we want it to run.

    I'm in absolute agreement, @Wisewis.

    When I first became an Insider in October 2014, I made a conscious effort to learn to use everything new in Windows 10. I don't need anything other than the Start Menu sans the tiles () and Settings.

    I've learned more about Windows 10 by working within Settings than I ever did with the Control Panel. And, of course, that's what I do, and don't fuss if someone else does things differently.

    @Wynona
    Thanks, Wynona. Nice to know someone else is at least in the same chapter, if not on the same page. Yeah, "Stay Apart": Stay Safe.
