It's a bug which is fixed in this release.
Much appreciated--I like the feature! If I've seen it before 21318 I have no recall of it.

Meant to add: Installed in WU about the usual ~8 minutes for the offline, disk-writing portion.

Happy to say that I've figured out why I wasn't seeing the News and Interests menu item from the Taskbar, and in the doing, I can now turn off Edge--which solves the problem completely!

The bug: for some reason when the taskbar resides at the top of the screen, as has been my habit since my Amigas in the '80's (yep, the Amiga OS had a mouse-driven GUI even way back then), the News and Interests menu doesn't appear until--drumroll--the taskbar is moved to the bottom default position on screen. It's just a bug, I'm sure. Once the menu item appears it's a cinch to turn it off completely.

It's weird, because in 21318, had I known that, I could have turned off Edge entirely by menu without uninstalling Edge at all. It's a good thing I found the bug because in 21322, Microsoft will not let me uninstall Edge at all! I get a "modify" button highlighted for Edge, beside the grayed-out "uninstall" button--but the modify button does absolutely nothing, either. I was surprised that I could do any of it in 21318, frankly.

Anyway, I am now going to the Hub to share the bug and the good news with Microsoft.

Download and install successful on 3 computers; 4th one is playing bounce-bounce. No problems on 3 successful installs.

last computer finally installed after couple of bounces. All is well for now.

Update went fine... It took exactly the same amount of time of its predecessor, 40 minutes.
