I am not an Insider, but I always use UUPDump to download these Insiders Builds on my non-production machine in a Hyper-V VM. One thing I always noticed is that it usually takes a certain time lag for the communication between MS servers and UUPDump to establish a well-baked relationship before one can reliably use the download from UUPDump's download site without any issue.

What I am alluding to is the errors that I am having when trying the conversion to .ISO with the UUPDump download in the first 5-15 min or even more after a new Insider Build has just come out. My experience might be different for other users, but I thought it is well worth it to point out.
Very similar here. When it's tried early, the most likely scenario here is red errors on the DLs. I see that and I just kill it and delete the extracted folder and package , and try later with a fresh one. Today, about an hour after I had finished this build and backed it up, I went to get the UUPDump package to make an ISO for my VM, and it was off-line, IsItDown showed down for everyone. Up now.

It is as if you were reading my mind. This is exactly, I mean exactly the case for me. I cannot say I am glad that I am not the only one, but at least it is comforting to see that I am not alone.

Aaaaaaand it happened. First time ever. Insider update borked my machine. Downloaded, installed, then restart and after this OS does not start just at win-logo screen and spinning wheel, restarts. And rinse and repeat.
So this will be not a lazy weekend

Still about the usual 7 minute offline disk-install portion upgrading through WU. (Can't remember the last time I did a UUP.)

Got a weather icon on the taskbar connected to Microsoft News--that I don't want. It doesn't show up in the taskbar icon controls for the systray or in startup items. It vanishes with no explanation and then reappears without explanation. I don't have a taskbar menu selection to control it--anyone else see this?

Does News and Interest not show up when right clicking the taskbar?

Two issues. First was 'safely remove hardware' was stopped. Found via Event Viewer that it was XBOX Game bar was the culprit. Terminating it in settings worked.

Second was SFC found issues and required a reboot. Rebooted and had the update screen followed by another reboot which completed. On typing my PIN in it rebooted again with a black screen showing updating system to 100% then rebooted again. Strange one for me.
