probably but seems like a headache
the issues seems to be in the actual update package - like i mentioned i have updated and rolled back a few times already - and the issue persisted each time
That with only cursor on black screen "smells" like GPU driver.

Hi, I cannot find the right drivers of Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview build 21313.rs_prerlease.210209-1440 for the HP Officejet 6830 (D24A4B) in wireless mode.

I disabled also the signing driver feature but when I try to install the drivers from the control panel the system refuse to install the drivers.

    Could somone help me ?

    Thanks in avdvance

I would strongly advise you to use HP Smart--I don't have your printer, but I use it for everything now for mine--very small footprint, it's all you need for driver install--it will also fix problems automatically.

i cant do anything as the screen is black and i cannot even run any commands - simply nothing but look at my cursor on the screen
i have rolled back to previous version that works - and i have also moved from fast ring to the preview channel
Press ctrl+alt+delete and select Task manger. You can run some commands there. Start explorer

    ------
Another issue I had on both systems.. If you click on Task View, and then anywhere on the screen beside tasks, desktop image is gone, replaced with a black desktop. Setting desktop background back to image solves this

When I switched my cable modem to the Comcast cable modem router combo HP Smart turned into HP Stupid. Over WiFi it would not find my HP 4100 Deskjet printer. It did find my Officejet 6830 printer. I had to use a USB cable to get it installed.

Has anyone used the Facebook Messenger video chat on this build? I tried today with a video chat with my sister-n-law. On my laptop she could hear me but I could hardly hear her. On my desktop when I tried calling her it wouldn't call out. I had to use my Galaxy phone. I'm not sure if it's this build or not. My Desktop and Laptop are running the same build.

I lost power on Sat morning and just got it back maybe an hour ago. My laptop did not get updated (my desktop did on UPS power) and when I tried it a little while it stalled at 22% completed (the first time that happened). I retried and its prompting me to restart again. Here's hoping.

am having tons of issues with this update
firstly - it didnt install properly the first time
then i went back and re-installed but once i sign in - home screen was blank - could only see my coursor
no matter what i was trying to do like even access task manager nothing worked
eventually had to go into bios and go for uninstall previous feature update which took me back to 21301 - that works gine
tried again this morning - after cleaning up the previous windows install file - thought maybe there is a corupt file in there
installed logged in and again it took ages to get the desktop but once in - most of my apps wouldt not open at all incl edge, intel app etc
if i went into settings - windows update -i would get a constant message saying - something isnt working - please come back latter
at some points clicking on the taskbar wouldnt bring up apps, restarting the PC took me back to the initial issue i had - black dekstop screen with no clickable space
had to again uninstall this feature update
i have now paused installing updates - i have been on windows fast updates for years and i never had any issues with their updates - until this one
not keep on messing my computer for good - so what do you advice - jump out and remain on this version till when?
wait for the next one - will it install the next one over this one or do i need to install this one to get the next update

    anyone else had this issues?
I had the exact same problems with my installation. After an apparently successful installation, I had a black screen with cursor and the Task Manager would shut down immediately before I could manually try to run explorer.exe. After several reboots I finally rentered my desktop, but Windows Update wasn't working. Scannow & DISM reported no errors. Another reboot took me back into black screen hell, where it took several more reboots before I was finally able to reboot again into a crippled Windows environment where most of my apps would not work (i.e. they would either open with an error message or immediately close after opening). When I tried Windows Update, it was still giving me an error ("Something went wrong, Try to reopen Settings later"). However, the day was saved when I was able to use the recovery function to revert back to my prior build, just as I was preparing for the grim task of reloading Windows and restoring all of my apps and data. That was the closest call I have had with a DEV version in the past few years. I'll try again when the next build hits.

Worked like a charm on my desktop on the first try...when viewed versus typical builds, truly a stupendous event
