Well, it's winter so it's difficult to find a four leaf clover, this must be next best thing.

No change for me either, this build doesn't solve my problem where my static IP wired connection just drops after a minute or more. Resetting the interface brings it back a while then dropping again.
    Wifi still works fine.
Dug through all the logs and thought it was related to the Netbios device so went and disabled NetBios.
    And again connection dropped.

@JGToy how do you know that the network adapter is turned off in your case? I mean is it still enabled but off somehow?
I disabled the power option too just in case but no difference.
I know because the Router and Switch light for the machines involved is always off.
My Network Adapter(s) is(are) like this:-

I sort of have the opposite problem. The built in network adapter which I always have disabled is enabled after the installation. This has been happening for a long time and it causes connection problems until I disable it again. The operating system seems confused on how to handle two wi-fi network adapters. If I have wired and wireless, the system will always go wired even if wireless happens to be faster.

Interesting at least... I needed it ON and it's OFF, you needed it OFF and it's ON!

I have APC UPS listed under Batteries.
It just occurred to me: do you have PowerChute installed? If so, you may be bypassing entirely the native HID UPS Battery (HidBatt.sys) support, sidestepping the problem. Likewise someone with CyperPower who installed that software.

You may be correct because I do have Powerchute installed and running.
