    .Net update done no problem.
    Like that when you do the restart, Edge recovers the open sites automatically.

    Check also your Windows insider level -- its possible you have the wrong option selected.

    Update offered here by WU.

    It's the 1st time I've logged on to this system for a while but WU usually appears very quickly.

    Activation ??? not sure what you mean by that as I assume your Windows versions are all correctly activated anyway even when running as VM's.
