    I don't do previews any more. If it was important it would be an out-of-band update. It's just a "C" update for those that want to try it.

    I'll pass.

    In 19042.782 (KB4598291) you can find Keys in the Registry for the 19043 Enablement Package.
    Microsoft-Windows-21H1Enablement -> Microsoft-UpdateTargeting-ClientOS vb_release_svc_prod3 10.0.19043.782

    That would probably place you in The IP?

    @f14tomcat: probably it is. The rumor is spreading, though: I'm starting to see this popping up on other Windows news sites now, too. Should be interesting to see what happens in the lead-up to next Patch Tuesday on February 9th.

    this includes an update for D3D12 components, which happens to break RTSS hooking.
    I can verify this

    EDIT: So I have rolled back.

    I am currently on W10 Pro, version 20H2, build 19042.685.
    And not able to install KB4598242 (error 0x80070003).

    Can/should I use this hotfix to solve my problem?

    Nobody can answer that as we don't have any idea what this KB does at this time.

    @abax2000,
    I would suggest making a full back with Macrium Reflect, then try Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

    Well... here we go then. I've made a backup and my life is boring so let's see what excitement this update brings.
