Updated 3 computers. Two updated without problems. Had to do a repair installation on one.

Surprisingly (at least to me) a SFC /scannow found and fixed problems on 2 of the 3 after the update. One was the computer that I did a repair installation on. I had checked these computers before the update and there were not any problems.
Not uncommon at all for SFC to find a few misplaced bits and bytes after an update. Makes no logical sense, but, well, .......

...anyone else who knows how to check Task Manager - Startup / C:\Windows\System32\WDI\LogFiles\StartupInfo, is the StartupInfo problem fixed / file updating with 20H2.746? Thanks

    Apparently not...

Yes, but I've never paid too much attention to them. Are they more of the MS foo-foo warnings?
    .........
I started ignoring them a while back as I read that they were ignorable warning, so yes, "MS foo-foo" if I can interpret that to mean MS crap warnings. . I read recently somewhere that MS was going to just disable them soon.

@Bree, thanks for checking on StartupInfo - we can confirm based on three good data points now that it's still broken in 20H2.

    Hi,
    @EdTittel

This is been going on for quite awhile now. Possibly MS wants you to confirm that you really do want to install the update.

    All the best for 2021,

What's with having to push the "Install now" button to get the CU and the MSRT to install? Has this been going on for a while and I just missed it (always a possibility)? Or is that something new? Otherwise, updates went swimmingly on the 5 machines I've done so far, with 2 more left to go this evening.

Downloaded and installed ok. Had me wondering for a while as my install paused at 22% for a while, and also at 74%, but finally chugged on to complete ok.

Since I updated to 19041.746, after I rebooted, zero ESENT 642 warnings post-reboot here. Had plenty before the update/reboot today as usual.
I have 19041.746, but still get ESENT 642 errors whenever a system restore point is created. I can reboot without errors, but System Restore creation always gives me 2 ESENT 642 errors.

I get them ( see above) and Restore Points are OFF.

Maybe it throws an error (warning) even when trying to make one..

Mine sat on 74% for a while too. No problems otherwise.

Sorry folks, I previously mis-stated the facts.

I'm getting six ESENT 642 warnings (NOT ERRORS) every time I restart and check immediately after logging in - this is with 19041.746 64-bit. Previously I stated I was getting zero after this update. I just rebooted twice more just now to confirm this.
