Why did Windows say that it checked for updates fourteen minutes ago, but then checked for updates again when I went to the updates section? That's weird. It checked for them when I first turned my computer on.

I got "Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80073712)" 4 times via WU and again using the standalone installer, Time for more drastic measures.

Same message I got but my error code was 0x8007000d. SFC /scannow and DISM showed no problem. I had the same results as you with WU and standalone installer.

Doing a Repair Install On the problem computer right now.

Updated to 19041.746 on Core 2 Duo test PC without issue.

sfc found/fixed corruption. dism AnalyzeComponentStore recommends cleanup to save 4GB.

Noticed dism version is now updated to 19041.746 from .572.

    No Easter Eggs/Bugs found yet.

@kado897, @f14tomcat or anyone else who knows how to check Task Manager - Startup / C:\Windows\System32\WDI\LogFiles\StartupInfo, is the StartupInfo problem fixed / file updating with 20H2.746? Thanks

Updated today, had to restart. Ran SFC and DISM found no errors. Continue to get multiple ESENT 642 warnings.

Since I updated to 19041.746, after I rebooted, zero ESENT 642 warnings post-reboot here. Had plenty before the update/reboot today as usual.
