I had an issue installing this KB on one computer. It said it failed to install. I tried to install it manually and it tells me it is already installed. There no longer is an entry in WU update history saying it failed to install nor is there an entry for it successfully being installed.

edit: I am on version 20H2 19042.746 so does that mean it did install?

You may have to do a WUA reset (see Brink's tutorial)
It does say that, I copied it wrong.

Given what I said about WU telling me it failed to install but now it shows this version do I need to do anything more? If I check for updates via WU it says I am up to date.

Nope, you are fine. I had that once happening with an earlier W10 version.

Anyone else have problems with their Logitech unifying receiver? After the update it no longer 'sees' the dongle as it should. It works, and it runs the KB and mouse, but it doesn't recognize it in terms of Logi's extra features like re-assigning mouse buttons in the Unifying software. Uninstalled their packet and tried to reinstall, but on reinstall program hangs as it doesn't register the dongle as special when I remove and reinstall it. Under the individual device properties it says "Driver not available" for the individual devices even though it should still be there.

Windows 'sees' it and receives inputs, so the USB port is working, but Logi doesn't.

I run both my Logitech keyboard and trackball on a Unifying receiver using Logitech Options and have no problems. I am running Win Pro 64 though.

Upgraded to KB4598242 Today & Touchpad / Cursor Disappeared?

I've done a bunch of Googling that caused me to try a couple things like hitting all the function keys, uninstall the touchpad & reboot.

Anyone else have this problem & solve it?

    (Acer Spin SP513-52N)

    TIA.

P.S. I'm a newbie to this forum so if I have broken protocol I apologize in advance.

One of my machines got this (0x800f0988) error via WU.
Manual download will not install too.
Done a in-place install using 20H2 Media Creation Tool. Now at 19042.746

Or check update history. If it was installed, it should be listed there.

No issues here either - I run both a Logitech mouse (MX Master 2S) and Logitech keyboard (Craft) using the unifying receiver and have no issues after the update. In fact I have no issues at all.

I've been having issues with K830 Keyboard (unified receiver) for some months. It works fine when PC is turned on, but it has this odd issue where it will start to not recognize key presses when used after being dormant for a while. I recently replaced the battery, so it' not a failing battery :)
It's not a USB power saving issue as I disable all power saving options in BIOS and have gone through every section in Device Manager to ensure that any no USB related peripherals can ever power down to 'save power' by disabling that check box.
This is a gaming PC, when I use it I use it, when I don't then it is fully powered down.

Something changed recently and not quite sure why or what.
Sorry I can't help, if you find something please let the community know, as will I.
I am still on build 685 since this new build was not good for my specific needs.
