I do appreciate @Brink keeping us up to date on KBs - leaked or otherwise. We just need to be extra cautious with leaked ones like this - especially after seeing failure trends.
We are all grown-ups here We all know these cab files are not official updates - that is what Windows-update is for.

If not, that is sad. I mean ppl are purposefully getting insider and preview and non-mainstream/official updates/cabs here, otherwise they would be sticking to windows-update. So they are consciously making this choice. If it isn't on windows-update (non-insider), then you assume a risk (more so than mainstream official updates ) and you should be prepared for encountering issues (backups).

If you don;t want to take a risk, then don't - no need to preach.

BTW my only concern is the labels (Win Update) that appear beside these threads with these cab files, which appears to associate them with Win Update, which they may or may not end up being a mainstream Windows Update,

I think you can use 7-zip's TEST function on .CAB files to check if they are fine (CRC-Check). At least, I can do it from inside Total Commander.
I alway use the 7Zip with CRC SHA1 hash by right-click using the SHA1 value that is the file-name, before start the installation!

    thanks

The issue for some people Brian is that it won't update to 662.

Did some testing and checked eventviewer on 662 ( just before I rolled back to 630 ) , all went fast and fine , no problems found .
To be clear ; just like 630 , could not notice any difference !
btw; the " ESENT id=642 " errors are present still , in 662 also...............

I'm not surprised about the ESENT 642 errors as MS is not gonna fix it...at least not until sometime in 2021

One additional issue I found with 661 is that EFI as well as Recovery Partitions are marked 100% Free ...
Perhaps someone on 662 can verify this is rectified?
