Oh har-har... I had WinRAR associated with .CAB files. So I removed that and voilį! Kinda strange way to install an update imho.

I had 7zip associated with .cab files, and even with the registry patch, it wouldn't show the Install option on the context menu.

    Nice find... have a cookie.

    Hi there
I wouldn't go through hoops etc to install this build - it'll get released as soon as Ms deems it necesary -- it's not even on UUPDUMP yet so I'm not bothering to waste my time with this one until it appears either as WU or on UUPDUMP (or both). In any case it might even be superceded by a newer one possibly as early as today (Tuesday) - who knows.

    Cheers

It'll probably be rolled up into today's Patch Tuesday release.

After applying @Brink 's reg patch... for some reason, having .cab files associated with a zipping program, prevents us being able to SEE the "Install this update" on the right click menu.
I notice it even changes the .cab file's Icon.

The reg patch is here: CAB file - Add Install to Context Menu in Windows 10

Interesting. I also had CAB associated to 7zip but Brink's registry mod gave me the Install option back. I later uninstalled 7zip anyway

Apparently, this happens with WinRAR and with WinZip as well.

It's like... it was always there, but until we un-associated .cab files from the zipping program, we couldn't SEE it.
