    Not really. msconfig32 still works and they have a document on the Microsoft website.

    Do you remember back in the day when you could boot into safe mode and see all the hardware drivers loading? Well, anyway with systemd Linux is moving the same way as Windows moved 10 years ago. No need for users to see behind the curtain - somebody might notice the messes.

    Hello Marty,

    If you like, you could check OS boot information in msconfig to see that, or Boot log to see it in a text file instead.

    Enable or Disable Boot Log in Windows

    Thank you. This is what I wanted. Do you know why it was removed from displaying in the Safe Mode boot?

    Hi there

    @martyfelker
    Not a problem on Linux systems - simply display logs / etc with dmesg or whatever

    (if you do it in a GUI then you can scroll up and down, save to a file, print or whatever and view in "Glorious technicolor" !! -- easier especially if errors printed in RED - that's how I find out about RAID 0 arrays not working way back and we got the solution --remember that a while ago )

    there's also /var/logs etc etc.

    For Windows you have Brink's answer.

    Cheers

    Technically, you can still use it with Safe Mode, but will just need to also check the Safe boot box as well.

    Yes I do remember the problem with RAID0 a while back but that I diagnosed by the boot stopping when the OS tried to assemble the RAID - I could see it without even looking at logs. How do I diagnose why Hyper-V VMs (WFW amd Ubuntu 201.10) have stopped connecting - is it perhaps that I installed a VPN (expressVVPN which also works nicely on Linux - pricey but seems to be worth it). If I find that is the case I will some decisions and talks with VMwwre about licensing. Because in the last go round when I bought WS they actually de-activated my WS 15 license so I could not re-install it after getting my money back for 16. We will see
