Wow, what a way to start the day. A 2x4 right between the eyes. Where did I say anything about off topic? Why do you think I'm in a bad mood? Why do you feel the need to ask? Perhaps if I correct a very minor punctuation error, my short post will have a different meaning. See above, please. I missed a comma. My error, please forgive me.
Dick, I do not want to fight with you, but I must say this: I apologized because what I said, but not what I implied. At almost 4 AM when I posted, I am not at my best, and I should have not posted it.
But, I am still convinced, that you were telling us to get back to the topic. Of course, English being my fourth language, it's always possible that I do not understand nuances in English. That's why I asked if you have never posted off topic. In addition, I did not say you were in bad mood. I asked if you were in bad mood.

Hi folks
anyway back to topic
This release installed perfectly OK for me as a VM on both Intel and AMD type computers.
It's always amazing for me to see the myriad of errors that appear after these builds with people using quite "bog standard" hardware.
A lot of problems though are caused by people at the consumer level installing a whole slew of 3rd party Anti Virus software such as Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, Norton etc etc --
One should remember that a lot of those companies were supplying 3rd party AV software for problems really relating to C20 hardware and software -- when OS's were quite leaky (especially Windows) and Hacking was "semi-fashionable".
The Windows OS has had security considerably improved in C21 - WD these days is built on one of the best security systems around - based on the security installed on Ms's AZURE Cloud servers .
remember also that these new builds won't have been passed over to the 3rd party AV companies yet so they will be at a singular disadvantage when trying to fit their offerings into internal parts of the Windows OS and its kernel.
I'll probably bet that these days on Home computers WD doesn't miss anything that any other 3rd party consumer grade AV system could find (often the other way around).
If you want to use these things on the latest Windows builds because it gives you better peace of mind --OK so be it but for extra protection --you are just kidding yourselves and can cause the OS to crash --especially these type of development builds.
remember I'm dealing here with HOME / CONSUMER installations --corporates, e-commerce, forums etc have different considerations of course.
Cheers

Missed this little item completely, but my 2 test systems did not. Both were ready to restart into post-GUI install mode. Just did that, and will report back if anything weird or interesting happens. Judging from the prior threads there's a small chance but I'm not expecting anything.
Cheers!
