Can anyone please tell me if the Windows 10 Backup Feature has been improved at all in this update?

This is something I really need!

Which one? File History? Or do you mean Backup and Restore (Windows 7)? If so, is it for backing up files, or for creating a system image?

There are no significant changes as far as I can see for File History.

Backup & restore has been a deprecated feature for three years now, meaning development has ceased.

Short answer to go with the long one.

    No.

Going forward, you should be using something like Macrium for full system images backup.

Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free

Native Windows 7 Backup and Restore is still there if you need to restore something, but it's not a good choice for going forward.

    +1 for Macrium..

I have updated my laptop twice now, once to v2002 and last weekend to 20H2 but for some reason it causes me issues... Using Macrium I restored my Laptop to v1909 in 10 mins... all up and running as if nothing had happened... Great software.

Thanks so much for the input!

I'd much rather use something made by Microsoft for backing up instead of a 3rd party app just because I'll be giving the 3rd party app access to all of my files...

Despite Microsoft telling you for the past three years that: "We recommend that users use full-disk backup solutions from other vendors" ?

Macrium is the way to go.

They don't collect any info that I know of, you don't even have to register to get free copy and you can do backup disconnect from internet.

I was hoping this would change...

Microsoft didn't have an anti-virus solution for a long time so I was hoping they'd have their own backup system...
