Guys, please if you can, please share how long did these 3 updates took for you to install from zero to finish (after restart and "getting windows ready" step).

It took like 2 hours for me and it was pissing me off because i couldn't do anything on a 6 year old 2TB HDD SATA 3.

I remember the 2004 update took like 3 hours. This one from today was also really big.

Please if you can please share, how long did it take for you and if it was on HDD or SSD.

Well if it took 1 hour on your 10 year old HDD why did it take 2 hours on my 6 year old HDD ??

Mine finished in something like 5 minutes once it downloaded. I didn't restart right after .NET updated but let whole thing finish first. On another machine I did opposite restarted right after .NET asked for restart and had to clean up updates before they succeeded although even that didn't slow it much.

I can't understand why did it took so long like 2 hours on my 6 year old Seagate 2TB SATA 3. It's not an SSD it's just a regular HDD at 7200 RPM. But 2 hours seems a bit extreme.

Your guess is as good as mine & probably MSs but updates generally take that time on that machine this was a tad slower but not much.

Kado i hope you won't get offended, but i'm guessing my 6 year old HDD should be faster than your 10 year old HDD.

Again, please don't get offended but i only made the comparison because your HDD is almost double mine's age meanwhile mine took double the amount of time yours did for the update to finish.

Again, not trying to be rude or anything but i just find this really weird.

My machine is getting pretty long in the tooth. A core 2 duo. This update didn't take all that long. Maybe 25 minutes to download, and another 25 to install. My internet speed is ~9Mbs download. System drive is an SSD
