Try it in safe mode with Networking.

Run it, reboot, then run it again.

If SFC and DISM is broken for you, the only alternative I would then do, is get me an ISO and do a repair install.
That's the best way to fix System32 and SysWOW64 on Windows.
After that SFC should work again.

My CU stopped at pending install. I let it "percolate" overnight. It was still there this morning. Restarted. Less than 10 minutes back to desktop.

This is installing for me again for some reason.

hmm..installed the .NET and it asked to reboot, rebooting..stuck in a reboot (restarting circle) have turned off the lappy manually after 15 minutes of restarting circles then and restarted it to it showing the restarting circle again. what can i do to remediate this please?

edit: pulled out battery and rebooted lappy after a few mins, now its restarted but on working on updates @ 100% been at this for a few mins now, hope it comes back into life agan

ok shes back, very very slow to load but its back..
