No not the Fall Update. I don't think they would want to release an upgrade at the same time as a CU.
Gotcha, well that makes sense. Wonder when that will drop.

What are you supposed to do if it offers a restart after cumulative update for net framework has done its thing. But the main cumulative update says it’s still installing . Wait til both are finished? I guess that’s what i will do but don’t recall seeing that before

I had exactly the same question in my mind.
I first started seeing this mixed message about restarts about the same time they made these interim 'C' and 'D' CU's optional. Sometimes the CU finishes first and suggests the 'Restart, other times it's .NET.

I just let them all finish.

Seems like restarting while one's downloading and / or installing is asking for update trouble.

cleanup for this one still shows 1 reclaimable package that cannot be removed.. seems like MS really likes doing that before the next feature update..

That took so long to update. Stuck at 14%, then stuck at 44% then stuck at 76% then sat at 0% Working on Updates for ~5 minutes while my computer fans sounded like turbine engines.
    I got some...?

Yes I think your right. It does sound like a recipe for disaster restarting whilst one is still downloading or worse still installing. I just waited it out and then hit restart. All seems ok in aftermath.

    Hi,
Policy is don't shut down or power off
Restart is neither of those so perfectly safe
Actually speeds up the delivery.. process because all other unneeded processes are closed.

It's interesting. Didn't happen on any of mine this time.

RTM installed the .NET and Flash and didn't ask for a restart, then installed the CU.
RP Installed the CU but didn't show the other two until after the restart.
BETA Installed the two first but waited pending restart until the CU installed. That's the way it should work I think.
