Hi folks
Finally a release that doesn't do a ".NET3/4 update after installation / upgrade. !!!!
This release installed via WU without any issues.
Cheers

Hi folks
Spoke too soon
I think Networking is broken again after this update -- I'm using this on a physical laptop - not a VM -- I can't see or access either of two up and running NAS servers unless I do it specifically via IP address.
Not sure why but each release / update of Windows turns networking into an entire Lottery.
BTW the NAS systems don't have any problem seeing the Windows machine !!
I think I've spent more time on trying to fix Networking problems on Windows than anything else in my entire history of using PC's. !!!
Why is it so difficult for Ms to get a consistent working Networking system straight OOB every time.
Other "Not mentionable OS'es" have had OK networking for donkeys years !!
Cheers

Maybe you have another error, jimbo45. My net works fine, and I has not changed a bit since the clean install of Windows 10 severel month ago. My home-net is 2 PC's, 2 laptops and 1 NAS. Every item on my net is running DHCP and they gets their IP-adress from the router.
Hi there
I rebooted the NAS's and then everything OK !!
Really shouldn't have to do that though -- could be that Windows networking takes a while to find all other machines on the LAN --I'd expect some "initialisation" and polling time - question is "how much" !!!
Anyway problem seems fixed (for now)
Cheers

I got it last night, and set the pc to "update and shut down". When I switched on today, I didn't notice any change, and only checking the news on this forum prompted me to look in settings for 19042.508.
This, too went up without difficulties. Glad that Windows World isn't falling apart while I'm busy doing other stuff this week.
Cheers!
