Being as most Version Upgrades have been every 6 months I'd look for 2010 and being generally available maybe a month after that.

Concerning the system properties (advanced) applet from control panel :using small icons.

This release seems to throw this at you on the system settings : (system is kerfi in icelandic)

however by choosing the large icons you can get to it as follows

Seems bonkers to me - what was wrong with the old way !!!!

The 'old way' you talk of hasn't existed since Windows XP.....

Windows 7 worked in exactly the same way as Windows 10.

Control Panel/System takes me to the Settings App as well.

I have Advanced System Properties in the right click menu...

They can easily be picked up and pointed to the System32 folder...
