    Hi there
Running as a Virtual Machine - but should be the same on a standard Windows install

After clicking on the Windows icon to bring up the menu just hit the space bar and you should see something like this : --although the use for it I have yet to determine. !!!

That's the search screen. That will also show if you click on search icon/box.

As I said --I'm not sure there's any use for this so far !!!! --In any case I don't show the search bar - It just clutters up the bottom of the screen.

I don't use Windows for many things any more these days so apart from Internet searching where I would be in a browser anyway - I have zero use for the search on the taskbar. !!!

Everybody uses computers differently of course -- but that's just my take on it.

Other than that - this release seems to be performing adequately -- no major (or even minor) defects yet on my system (it's on a VM though).

    Cheers

    Hi there
Try switching to thunderbird - especially if you use firefox.

For a passable alternative to Windows mail try :

Roundcube - Free and Open Source Webmail Software

I know these don't solve your original problem --sometimes though using an alternative where convenientl possible is a much better option.

Thanks for suggestion....As Windows Mail works perfectly on three other computers, will accept its limitations on what is basically Insider Preview in development.
