Rolling back the update would have fixed it.

I cannot get Windows Update KB4565503 to install - continuous looping
starting Windows Update the download is OK until 100%, then
it begin to update normally until 20%, then jump to 44% and then to 100%,
it restart to download until 10%,
    then restart to update at 20% + 44% + 100%,
    again again again ...
in continuous looping between installing and downloading without end

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it and what could be causing this.I also downloaded KB4565503 MSU file and tried to install the update and get update failed..
I have experienced exactly the same, and tried the same fix.

I also tried Update Troubleshooter as suggested by kado897 and get this in the pop-up box:
    An error occured while troubleshooting
    Error Code: 0x80070483

I haven't tried Brink's Update Reset scrip, which looks to be a little out of my depth.

Besides of what I reported here:

Looks like this build has become a Babel Tower for me as follow:-
    KB4565503 Cumulative Update Windows 10 v2004 build 19041.388 - July 14-problem1.png
After clicking the "Fix the problem" button...

And I haven't found any solution yet!

It's just a matter of downloading it and right click and run as administrator and it will do it's own thing.

Was it shutting down as you opened by any chance ?

    Just noticed Kado897 post above.

I had posted a solution in Office section.

I downloaded the bat file and ran it as an administrator, then rebooted but sadly my P.C. is still stuck in an update loop, which seems to be the experience of NIK1.

I haven't tried reinstalling the downloaded KB4565503 MSU file after reading that NIK1 has already tried this. I may try a System File Check that NIK1 mentioned, but I'll need to look on the internet to see how to do this.

That's a shame. You may be better off posting this in the Updates and Activation section to get to the real experts.

    Hi there
    @Kado807

Outlook is broken -- same in the 19042 relrase

The only way to fix it that worked for me was to delete all the accounts, and re-import again (I'm on Imap and I had a reg file of my Outlook 2019 accounts which I re-imported -- you need to remember passwords though the ist time. I've mentioned in the Office section of the Forum how to backup and restore Outlook accounts easily via the reg file.

Here's the problem with Outlook 2019 (I'm on Outlook2019 using IMAP) --creates extra inbox name I (single letter I) and zillion sync issues all the time
