    Hi there

as the Germans say "Alles in Ordnung" --- everything in order.

Working perfectly -- I assume this is not with 20H2 additions -- I'm a bit confused now with all these build variations. !!!!!
At least I have a whole slew of VM's when referring to specific builds.

Those who don't use Virtual Machines should definitely look at the idea --these days most things can be decently tested on a VM -- for Free virtualisation software there's VirtualBox (VBOX), VMWare player - these run on Windows - both HOME and PRO and Linux, then there's HYPER-V (Windows PRO) and on Linux only there's QEMU/KVM -- so enough free choice around. Try one of them -- watch out though - it can get very addictive.

    Cheers

is there any AI on MS to fix the support for Intel Pinning Shell Extension that had to be manually fixed (either by updating the version of the software from Intel, even if its not yet delivered by your OEM, or by repairing the installment and removing the entry from device manager, including the software it comes with)?

    Hi folks

this is definitely the 20H1 version -- 10941.388

    the 20H2 version is 19042.388

so difference is in whether 19041 or 19042 builds.

Both IMO seem to work perfectly on my systems so far.

    Cheers

This seem wrong for a PC with an SSD? When I start Maintenance in via the Control Panel it runs a full defrag on the SDD - not good for SSD lifespans! Should only run trim surely?

BTW Optimise Drive runs trim as expected so Windows does know there is an SSD in this PC. This PC only has one SSD and no HDD!

Problems with Defrag have been reported for some time. Best to disable it until it is fixed.

I've got the Defrag Scheduled task disabled. Hopefully that will do it.
