...All I can say though I've had more problems with AMD compatibility than INTEL -- of course others can and probably will differ -- if the thing works and the price differential is significant go for it. AMD graphics is the main problem I've found though - Intel graphics for me work fine as do Nvidia cards...
I'm not trying to convince anybody, but personally, I haven't had so much problems with drivers and compatibility with AMD lately, this is starting to become one of those myths.

Besides, if you want a cheap solution that ensures full compatibility, all AMD APUs are perfect, they have a really decent graphical solution, and the chips are solid enough. Temps aren't even an issue anymore. Just add your APU, your RAM in a decent MoBo and you have a perfectly stable system, and much cheaper than an intel setup. Not to mention Intel's iGPU solutions are terrible, they can't even handle hardware acceleration in a browser properly.

Intel knows is not dominating the market as much as they would like, specially since Ryzen came out, so they are now doing what they did in the past: Playing with MS so they can trick non experienced people to waste money.

This is just my point of view tho, if there is people loving Intel, they have teh right to buy it if they are happy with it. I am no one to convince anyone.

But I don't want Microsoft to try convincing me to buy intel just because they are friends... I still remember when everything was optimized for Intel to bring down the competitors... I don't want that to happen again.

It would be wiser to say: "I could like Intel, but if you want to buy AMD, it's okay too, because Windows 10 supports both major companies..."

Again, just my point of view in this.

    Hi there
My experience was in the past --it's likely that these days compatibility will be much better.

Competition is usually always good - makes generally for cheaper products and encourages innovation so I'm in no way anti -AMD.

Imagine if there were no competition and there was only 1 type of Car available --and you had to wait 15 years to get it

E.G Trabant (probably worst "car" ever invented -- East Germany until fall of the Berlin Wall. To get one - a baby at birth had to be put on a waiting list to be able to get one of these when they finally passed driving test around 17 years later !!!. Impossible for people brought up in the West to imagine -- even for those who visited E.Berlin and E.Germany before the Wall fell in 1989.

(Without competition we'd still be driving around in these sorts of things --and polluting the planet -- car was made out of plastic and ran on 2 stroke lawn mower mix !!!).

    Cheers

Now you can buy an unreliable VW with fiddled fuel emission data. Such is progress.

    Hi there

first they had the V1 then the V2 and finally the VW !!! however at least you didn't have to wait 17 years to get one !!! --actually the new models are quite decent Euro Diesel is actually really clean with almost zero NOX emissions but the "Wokes" won't believe that -- and in any case I'm not buying one of Tesla's Electric Milk floats -- batteries etc from horrendously toxic ingredients -- and what do you do when it's - 3 deg C, snowing and with heater full on in a 7 hour traffic jam on UK's notoriously congested roads (M5 near Bristol / Exeter for starters !!! ) -- then speak about "Range capability " !!!!-- still a bit OT here though. Personally just for the record I Love BMW's whatever the planet savers say and I'm not going to stop driving those or an old Harley too.

    Cheers
