    Windows 10 May 2020 Update debuts officially.

    May 2020 Update (2004) enters the chart at 7% after about a month on the market.

    Close to 150,000 Windows 10 PCs were surveyed.

    As was the case in the previous cycle, the most popular version of Windows 10 is not the newest and not the one before it. Right now it's May 2019 update which is two cycles behind the current release at this point.

    Note: we don't have the data for the initial rollout of the first update to Windows 10 (1511, also known as Threshold 2). So it's a straight line from 0 to the first data point we have on August 22nd, 2016.

    This is because tons of people do not know that windows wont automatically update you to the totally latest version anymore.

    I only found that out 2 or 3 days ago.

    That has been the case since version 1903. You can see the take-up was much steeper for earlier versions.
