New Amazon Prime Video UWP app in Microsoft Store for Windows 10

Why does anybody need an app to watch Amazon Prime videos on PC? It works perfectly well with a browser (Firefox in my case).

Probably to get it all under an App based format like on Android/Android TV

FYI on Amazon Music cannot play HD on the webpage player, you need use the App/installer.

Because the native Netflix app has full support for 5.1 surround sound through PC soundcards, and I as well as others were kind of hoping the Amazon app would too but it doesn't.

I meant in future I will let you know if they add 5.1 lol.

When I watch Amazon Prime on my TCL Roku TV, the audio is extremely low, it's terrible.....

I saw this a while back and was hoping it'd be a better experience, but they don't let you change where you save the movies... Seems really odd that I can't shift the download folder to my spinner instead of being locked to my system drive...

Guess I'll stick with watching thru the web until they figure this out....

OK, I have a new soundcard that supports DTS Neo: 6 and DD Live, now I can get surround sound from Amazon Prime, both with the app and the browser versions.

How strange.

That is because those settings make it 5.1.
