Disappointed. I was hoping it would be like the Netflix app and fully support 5.1 audio where available. This outputs stereo only, the same as the web browser so it's pointless. Netflix managed to have surround sound in their UWP app since it was first available.

Yes, still no 5.1 support though. I don't hold out hope there will be

Well this doesn't seem to be ready for prime time. Wink, Wink, nudge, nudge
Web interface works fine though, why should I want this?

Exactly, having 5.1 audio would be reason enough to have the app, otherwise may as well just use the browser

    Hi there
Forget all this "Rubbish" -- in fact there's a whole slew of opinion out there who are begging Ms to stop copying Apple and say that the whole concept of Ms store is as DEAD AS A DODO.

If you want to use Amazon Prime -- what's wrong with an Amazon fire stick - simply plug in to any PC and you are in business.

If you want to SAVE for later viewing then there's all sorts of methods -- you can save currently to smartphone / android device --simply copy file to PC from the non Windows device.

Or simply use any Video capturing device to capture video from an amazon firestick and save to PC.

For example : Amazon fire stick menu from firestick to PC via hardware video capture device. Running on Windows 10 build 331.

OK it's "Real time" but who cares if the purpose is to watch later -- just set the thing to play the videos overnight while capturing to PC. Runs at 1080P (full HD) - but also acceptable on a PC screen at 720P as well -- depending on how you want to capture the video.

I've also played the saved files back on a big 55 inch Remote TV via KODI client installed on another firestick inserted into the remote TV and picture is more than acceptable. KODI is easily installable as a side loaded app on an android amazon firestick device. (remember when doing this that an amzon firestick is an ARM device -- sideload via the downloader app and select on the amazon firestick when playing through the TV Downloads | Kodi | Open Source Home Theater Software -- choose the version you want and install -- 32 bit arm still works better than the 64bit versions !!

Who needs Ms store to doubly hose things up !!!

    Cheers
