Thanks for response. All other windows build work but this release blocks my going to administrative level of command.
I've not been blocked from opening an admin command prompt. But I have been blocked from other things immediately after the upgrade to 2004. If Controlled Folder Access was turned on before the upgrade it goes 'hyper-active' and blocks things it shouldn't. Fortunately the fix is easy, either turn it off before updating, or after upgrading turn it off, restart then turn it back on.

    Hi there

Is Openssh server available on this build -- it fails on the 20H2 build -- complains about settings in Insider program --checked all those but can't see anything wrong. (Use apps and features-->optional features-->add a feature)

    OPENSSH client is OK though.

I've posted details in the 20H2 thread. (19042.330)

    Cheers

Not something I've ever tried (or needed) but it installs fine in a VM with a clean install of 2004 Pro using an ISO made by the MCT and updated to 19041.331.

    Hi there

    331 --different build

doesn't work (at least on my stuff on build 330) -- might try the 331 build.

the "pre release" build works OK as I've shown elsewhere.

BTW to test it - install filezilla on Host or any other system and then on it use sftp to see if you can access the files on the build from another machine -- don't use file explorer network browsing or SAMBA for the test.

    Cheers

Both the RTM public build and the Insider Slow/Preview build were in alignment up to 19041.229. After that a CU was issued to fix just the print spooler issue. In Insider rings it was .330 but for public release it's .331.

Your 19042.330 is the 20H2 Insider Dev/Fast ring build with the latest (for Insiders) CU, my 19041.331 is the latest RTM public build. If I were a betting man I would put money on it being the major build number that's your problem - ie: running 20H2 rather than 20H1.

    Hi there

working fine on 21H1 BTW (as well as Video capturing software) -- saving a recorded program from a SKY Q box to PC for later viewing using hardware video capture device and HDMI splitter --this also didn't work on 20H2 build 330.

I copy the file then from Windows to a NAS server and then stream from NAS to an Amazon fire TV stick !! which plays into a TV via KODI app --(KODI is installed on the amazon fire stick)

Working fine on build 331 (this one) with the latest update too. Openssh server installed OK.
    Network connections also OK.
