    Hi there

still surprised windows is updating I.E --I thought that was on the way out a long time ago however I.E is still living on though.

I suppose that so much of it is integrated with file explorer that it's difficult to untangle and de-couple the 2 -- so looks like IE will still be around for the forseeable future even though I doubt whether most people use it any more.

IMO I think Ms should bite the bullet and totally re-write file explorer -- then maybe we can get a proper working file browser that can finally display long path and file names (> 266 chars).

Windows itself can support long file names however any program using the file explorer API will be limited by the 266 char path and file length -- other programs that have their own browsing system or use the windows full api --for example filezilla can display path and file names with > 266 character length.

These sorts of updates IMO are far more important than fiddling around with a little bit of cortana (who actually uses it anyway) or worrying about what the new Office 2019/365 icons should be like.

Example --Filezilla showing full proper file names from audio files on NAS server

Windows file explorer can only show truncated names when path/file name > 266 chars -- shows in 8.3 format

Another bug for 2004 not yet acknowledged in Known and resolved issues by MS:

Can't Believe Windows 10 2004 was so long in Insider Testing, and still so many known issues got released to the Public, ((Laptop was offered it via Windows Update, and Main Gaming Desktop, did use the Media creation tool though for clean install on those 2 systems, not too many issues) Besides The darn Optimize Drive area not remembering when last run

I thought this version of Windows 10 would've been the most stable release as it was in testing longer than any other version. Hopefully patched all in due time, and nothing else breaks in the meantime

I am starting to lose any faith I ever had in the leadership at Microsoft. This 2004 is really 20H1 and 20H2 will be just another CU changing 19041.XXX to 19042.XXX. This may be the first time since 10 was launched that the build in the fast ring is more stable than the current release. The FRB can at least recall the last time an SSD was optimized.

Slowly but surely getting all the 2004 PCs (both Current Branch and Slow Ring Insider Preview) updated. So far, no problems. Fingers still crossed (2 left to go).
