Access
- Keep up with the times! The Date/Time Extended data type has better precision.: Introducing a new and improved data type. To enhance syntax compatibility with SQL, and to increase accuracy and level of detail in records that include dates and times, we’re implementing the DateTime2 data type into Access. This additional date & time data type will include a larger date range (0001-01-01 through 9999-12-31), with higher-specified time precision (nanoseconds, rather than seconds) that you will be able to provide and perform calculations on. - Create PivotTables from Datasets in Power BI within Excel: You can create PivotTables in Excel that are connected to datasets stored in Power BI with a few clicks. Doing this allows you get the best of both PivotTables and Power BI. Calculate, summarize, and analyze your data with PivotTables from your secure Power BI datasets.
Outlook
- Option to quickly reopen items from previous Outlook session: We added an option to quickly reopen items from a previous Outlook session.
Resolved issues
PowerPoint
- This fixes a crash when users have both modern and legacy comments in a file, thus triggering an upgrade on the comments.
Office Suite
- We have resolved the ValidateInstall fail rate issue by setting the Bing Addon install validation to true by default and considering the MSI return success as an install success.
