Okay good to know, and also good that MS is smart enough to not offer redundant updates (this time).

not sure i get it.. will this update be pushed on to a 1909 system with the current (not Chromium based) MS Edge?
Currently not getting anything on my end, even after clicking on Check for Updates button.
Yes I’m curious about this too. We have two machines at home on 1909. Neither have received the new chromium edge via windows update. I got the impression MS were supposed to be pushing through WU now.
Yes, it's supposed to replace old Edge, that's how I read it aswell. Maybe it is Microsoft's homegrown AI that is blocking PCs again, similar to how they are blocking feature update 2004 to seemingly compatible systems. Microsoft sure makes things confusing. Here's what I did: click on your search bar, you should see an ad for it at the bottom under "recommended", click that and follow the instructions to download and install new Edge.
So, am I also supposed to get it via WU as a matter of course?
Not that I do use Edge at all - quite contrary actually - but just powered up my PC and after the usual stuff has happened in the background I was not offered this update?
It will be coming via WU unless you manually download it.
