To be sure , my SSDs have to be healthy !
Set the service "Optimize Drives" from auto to manual (off) , this way I can trim my SSD manually ..............

Microsoft is so irresponsible that it effectively allows SSDs and so the data on them to be put in harm's way by this bug. It clearly does not care about the safety of customer's data AND IT KNEW ABOUT IT BUT STILL ALLOWED 2004 TO BE RELEASED WITH THIS BUG. The whole professional IT world must be taking note of this disgraceful attitude and behaviour.

" WITH THIS BUG "..........noticed several times the "Optimizing Drives "-service started , while it was set off !
I have set this service on "manual " , to prevent further damage on my SSD and HDDs !!
WHEN ( ?? ) will this big failure fixed by MS ...........??

Microsoft is going downhill at the moment. It is a monopoly provider of Windows software and so presumably has little incentive to try harder and improve its increasingly poor quality. I would rather use Windows than Ubuntu but Microsoft is doing its best to push me in that direction and away from Windows.

It's kind of like having only one cable TV provider (Comcast) in our area in central Florida. Of course, if one wants rain clouds to block a satellite dish one can get the same programming as Comcast using a dish system, and paying the same price for 50% commercials. Guess we could do Apple, but now that MS adopted Apple's marketing strategy; that is having to upgrade the OS for a simple program change, then a MAC will do. We live n a monopoly in high tech. It gets old quickly.
