Lol yes! My laptop that's 7 years old with bunch of proprietary drivers got it available since day one in May.: I'm not going to update it until much later of course, but this gaming PC -- in signature -- is blocked for some reason, and it's not a year old!
My system (system one) is about 15 month old with the latest and greatest 1909 update so...

My 2013 Asus Laptop is already running Insider with the 2004 update, but that's insider build. I'm about to do a clean install of 2004 on my backup system since I had swap drives anyway so we'll see how that goes.

My 2017 Lenovo is in the same boat as my main system... no update offered. And it has the latest drivers seeing its kept up to date via Lenovo's Vantage software. It even downloads and installs BIOS update. But again, can't get an offering there as well.

On my custom-built pc, from 2010, this update was shown as available on day of release, then it was shown as coming soon, and today its available again. Won't install it though, very happy with 1909

Welp, now the whole message about "yoUr DeViCe Is NOt ReAdY" disappeared. There's nothing there anymore for me. Did they pull the update or something because of all the issues with it? Note that I'm not clicking on anything there, this is all on auto.

Oh, I'm not going to touch it for at least a month after it's available. But it's funny and fascinating to see how it's behaving, and how Microsoft is doing this rollout thing.

Went to Windows update this morning and message stating my device not ready was missing.
Selected check for updates and 2004 was there if I chose to download and install it.
Took less than an hour for download and installation. No issues so far.

Clicking on "Check for Updates" didn't bring any message back. I am not going to worry too much about it, since even if I had the OK to "Download & Install" 2004, I would have waited for a while (a month or so...)

It's not an issue, in MS parlance it's called FEATURE.
