Go figure, MCT worked fine to upgrade to 2004 the second time. Pretty fast too, about 3 hours. So for those keeping track, MCT took a real long time the first try and was cancelled by me. WU timed out and did not install. Second MCT attempt worked.

edit: I disabled Malwarebytes so maybe that helped. For other updates/upgrades I have never disabled it.

Now I can't install 2004 on my two year old laptop that has installed all the other upgrades fine. WU and MCT both fail with errors. So tired of this garbage. MS sucks.

Look at the reports in this article.. Windows 10 May 2020 Update biggest problems and complaints | Windows Central

I'm glad Microsoft have me on block - even though I have no idea why -, I will gladly wait a few months.

Its been offered on all but one of my computers (and probably will soon on the last as I just turned it on for the first time in weeks). After installing it fairly easy on all my others I saved my most used laptop 'till last. Little did I expect that one would give me trouble. It has never, and I mean never had an issue with WU prior.

Same here, I have two identical desktop gaming PCs that I personally built. One had the update two weeks ago and went fine, the other has the block put on it with the message that my PC isn't ready blah, blah, blah. I'll happily wait as I know from my other machine that there isn't much different between v1909 and v2004 anyway.

Not that I would install it at this time on my main system, but it is still not showing up even after manual checking for updates.
On the other hand, the VM I have on this system got it available and updated on the first day.

No messages it just says I am up to date.

There is an odd bug with all Windows 10 installs, fresh or updated. In Administrative Tools, System Information does not have the correct icon, but a generic icon. If this is corrected, and you run sfc/ scannow sfc will detect corruption, and the icon is reset back to the incorrect generic icon. I have been reporting this issue since 2015 still not fixed, even in 20150.

Sorry, but I don't see that in 1909 or in 2004 (19041.329). I see what looks like the appropriate icon in 2004's Control Panel, Start menu and in Explorer here:

Strange I have this on 8 different computers, all running different version of Windows 10, all have the same issues. I have even tested this now on 4 work compouters, all same issue.
