I'm in limbo, as are lots of others with good specs and up to date hardware, etc. Nothing to do but wait.

My wife's Surface Pro 3, which has to be 5-6 years old by now, running an i5-4800u at a screaming 2.4ghz was offered and successfully installed 2004. No issues so far. Hardware is older, not dinosaur old, but doesn't seem to be affected by any of the known issues.
Agree with this whole heartedly. As as tomcat said it's odd a lot of new custom built systems aren't being offered the update. And between my two desktops only the main one has a possible issue where it uses Realtek drivers for the soundcard. That's it. My backup rig has none of the known issues listed and yet it's not been offered the update either

And as many have noted even forcing the update brings issues that many have reverted back. So, yeah, if you're not offered it don't force it, especially on your primary system.

    Drew, sorry for the snip..

There is a hard block some are seeing on check for updates, and what I will call a soft block on many others. The soft block is the MS staggered rollout, details of which only Redmond knows. This is IMO, strictly IMO, but I would not be surprised at all if the "soft block" is being expanded as the feedback and real life filters back to Redmond.

I think you misread the model, there is no Inspiron 3875 listed on Dell Support. There is a 3785 - and that one is tested for the May 2020 Update.

Technically I think the term is dyscalculia but at least we now know it's been tested, not that it guarantees it will be offered any time soon. My 'tested' Latitude E7270 still hasn't seen it

Just wait for MS to offer it it you John.
If it is of any comfort, my daily, see specs, has not been offered and it is a 8th gen Intel CPU. A long that line, none of the devices in my house have been offered. Dell, HP, Asus. Not one and they are a collection of i3's, i5's and i7's, custom built and store bought laptops.

That will teach me. Just finished saying I wasn't being offered on any machine when my Dell D630 (built for XP so it is old) snagged it. Interesting that I did not get option to download and install. The D630 was on 1909 and I just click "Check for updates".

It's an odd rollout, this one. So far two of my three oldest machines have been offered it, while all my newer ones (including a Dell on their 'tested for May 2020 Update' list) are yet to see it.

I'm not completely nuts - it is a Dell Inspiron 3847 like this: Dell Inspiron 3847 Review | Digital Weekly
and it has not been tested for Version 2004 it seems. I believe what I have is "ignorance" where computers are involved...lol.

At least you got offered. Mine just engaged. I was expecting to see the screen where it says you are all up to date and then below the line, "this is available" with a download or install button.

    Odd indeed.

As far as I can make out, Dells policy is to stop testing their models for Windows 10 updates after they reach the end of any ProSupport period. That certainly seems the case for my older Dells. Yours appears to have last been tested for the Windows 10 May 2019 Update (1903).
