    Honestly I'm not sure. What I mean is one got installed when I enabled the iGPU in helping another OP with an issue, but since then, I've disabled the iGPU again but never physically removed the driver. I'll have to look into that. Thanks.
    You could try uninstalling the device driver then disable the IGPU in bios. Windows update probably won't detect it then.

    Show me some learned technical advice from knowledgeable people telling people to be sticking to TWO generations behind current releases. Not some random guy on the internet forums telling people to be 2 generations behind.

    NOBODY who knows what they are doing would advise people to be 2 generations behind.
    Hi there

    @Mikey89

    @sandyt

    not quite true

    and how about this case :

    If you have some specific applications and hardware that are the only things used then there's no reason why you shouldn't keep legacy gear and OS's running - until the end of the universe if you want.

    I have some really good legacy Vinyl Record recording and cutting gear which still works perfectly -- but will only run on an XP system. Why should I junk the perfectly functioning piece of hardware (would cost probably around 30 - 50,000 USD to get modern state of the art equivalent level equipment) for almost no gain. I make a small amount of money making bespoke Vinyls for people -- the volume doesn't require a 50,000 USD investment -- the old system is working perfectly on an XP system -- I don't need to worry about Internet / other security on it as it's essentially a stand alone system even though it's running as a Virtual Machine on a quite powerful host system.

    Cheers

    If this is one if the factors stopping people from getting the update I call foul. These iGPU's are not new and Microsoft should have been had a fix for that. Add that there should have been a switch in the update noting if the iGPU was enabled, which like you, mine isn't. Switch could have been something like Enabled = block, Disabled = allow install.
    I use the Intel Driver and Support Assistant and it provided me a new DCH Driver for UHD630 dated May 29/2020. V27.20.100.8280. Strictly FYI

    My point is I don't use the iGPU so why would I need drivers. That said, thanks for the FYI.

    To be honest I don't think MS has anyway to tell if we actually use. Even for those that do use iGPU how many are using variable refresh rates (which I understand is the issue around the iGPU).

    I don't use my Realtek Bluetooth, it is not even paired with anything but it is detected so I assume that is why I'm blocked. (Since I updated my graphics drivers although I don't know if this driver fixes the VRR issue.).

    I don't know, I've never used the iGPU of my processor. Didn't even know of VRR or any issues with iGPU's.

    Anyway the only thing on my main system using Realtek drivers is my onboard sound card. Both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is Intel. My backup rig uses no Realtek drivers, and it's soundcard is a built in Creative chip. Both systems use AMD GPU's which are running the latest WDDM 2.7 drivers. To me it makes no sense why my system wouldn't be offered the update

    Your problem is that you expect it to make sense
