Yesterday, all 5 laptops now have Version 2005. Two of them, I have to use Microsoft Update Assistant, for latest update versions. All is well. Remember:

Keep laptop plugged in, Clear all Cache, if 3rd party antivirus - Turn Off. After new version is installed, run "Disk Cleanup."
In third step of Disk Cleanup, I also have old version removed. That's me and good luck!

    2004 update

Well what a load of **** this update is.How Can MS pass this off as ready for general use, so many bugs and if you happen to have Sentential LDK installed then it crashes on first reboot. Just Imagen the poor sod's that are not comp savvy having to deal with total crap. This should not have happened, seems like we are dealing with a bunch of MS cowboys,
MS to much money and don't give a crap about their customers.

According to this support article the only version extended was 1809. This MS article was updated in May 2020.

I do agree with you. Update to 1909 is a smart move. It really is just the enabling of stuff delivered with 1903, very fast update.

Costed us a lot of time to install , and then discovering all these bugs is a real big dissapointment !
Anyway , never give up , will try again when a solution comes...........
