Caledon yes i already looked up the known issues.
My question is : why isn't WU showing 2004 is available for download and install instead of 1909 ?
Right now i'm on 1903. But that's what is confusing me a bit... shouldn't WU let me know 2004 is available instead of 1909 even if i am still using 1903 ?
Not if you your hardware / system is on block list.
2004 is not available to you at this time.
Should you wish to force you can use MCT tool. Have an Image available so you have a fallback plan.
I'm having issues installing the update to v2004. A while back I was on the Insider Program & had an issue & was advised to discontinue as an insider. Currently I'm running v1909 (OS Build 18363.836. All my hardware is listed in my user info. I built my PC just a few years ago.
When I check Windows Update it says this:
When I check "Learn More" it says the following:
My PC is on a wireless connection @ 100Gbs about 6" away from the modem. I do have KB45499951 & KB4524244 installed. Should these be uninstalled?
It means that your hardware is not ready for 2004 at this time
Actually, you can get out of the Insiders Program and onto the RTM general release without a clean install... for a brief time. Change from Slow to RP, then you will be able to specify that you want to get off the train. This only works until the next build comes to the RP, but I believe there is a week or two after general release that you have this option. I've done it in the past - it works.
hi all if i used the media creation tool to install the update would it tell me if my system was one of the one with a hold from incompatible hardware?
