Neither WU or the upgrade assistant are offering me 2004 so I'm trying to decide on whether or not to run the MCT.
Yeah, I just created a Macrium image for my main rig in case things turn south as they did for my backup system

My desktop just finished installing 2004 using the MCT and my laptop is in progress, albeit, slow so I expect for it to take several hours to complete.

Ehm, whooooooooooooops....... Now I'm on 64-bits Windows again, but I really thought I had the PRO-edition. I picked the HOME edition. Explains why I can't get into Gpedit...

    Oh well...

    Why is everyone rushing?

I postponed for 5 days - let MS works the bugs.

    Patience, Patience.

Because the last time I checked this was also a PC enthusiast site where we also test stuff

In my case, I "tried" to test the update but it failed. But even in that I learned something

Using the Update Assistant everything looked fine until the Assistant wanted to restart my PC.

After a minute or two into the update it restarted again, then returned to the update & abruptly said the update failed. Then restarted again & this time did a repair, restarted again & returned to v1909 (OS Build 18363.836) desktop.

MS is offering it on a Gradual Basis, I used the MCT even though I already had it in the RP. The MCT works just fine.
