Anyone in Canada get this update through windows update yet? Been checking my 3 systems and nothing yet.
Are you able to understand what was written?
There is no physical CD-DA disc, only cue/bin and cue/img image files.
There is no reason to rip audio tracks from that image files and convert them to mp3/flac format.
Using Daemon Tools, these image files can be mounted in virtual CD/DVD/BD drive and this drive can be played as regular CD-DA disc.
So once again: You cannot directly mount cue/bin & cue/img CD-DA images without Daemon Tools. If you have other opinion, please describe exactly how to do it. Otherwise, please do not respond.
Surprise. I managed to upgrade a 10yo laptop. Used an iso and it only took 1 3/4 hours in total. I thought that it may be reaching end of life but looks like it will survive for a bit yet.
Tried the update (using media creator to update) and failed 3 times with the "second boot". I wonder if the dual boot (with the Insider version) is causing the issue?
My biggest surprise was that, out of all my laptops, only two of the oldest got offered the Feature Update in windows update. Clicked on 'download and install now' and (many hours later) were running 2004. One was System One in my specs below, nine years old now. The other was a modest little Acer AOD270 netbook, 8 years old, Intel Atom N2600 and just 2GB RAM (running x86 of course).
I thought MS rollouts usually start with the newer, better tested machines and worked their way back to the vintage machines.
