After two of my oldest machines were offered 2004 on 27th, today after the cumulative update to 18363.900 a 3rd machine was offered it. That one was my next oldest machine (a Dell Latitude E4310). My newest machine (a Dell Latitude E7270) is on Dell's list as having been tested for 2004, but still doesn't see it offered.
Edit; and now my second newest (Dell Latitude E7440) has just been offered it, so that makes 4 out of 6 now. Still nothing for my only machine that has been tested by the OEM and declared ready for 2004.

Today my last two machines were offered 2004, so that makes the full set now. The last two were my newest (the E7270 above) and my very oldest (my test machine, System Two in 'My Computers' below). My test machine will (obviously) be taking the update to 2004. My two Dell Latitudes are going to stick with 1909 for now.

Well I was patient, although I did check multiple time a day.
Today it just popped up that 2004 was available to me.
After reading how long it took others to update I started watching the clock.

    Getting ready 13:18
    Starting download 13:22 (4min)
    Download complete 14:17 (55 min.)
    Installing 14:17
    Restart 15:30 (1 hr. 13 min)
Complete, and back on line 15:46 (16 min)
    Second restart for features 15:50

Looks good so far. Maybe me be, but it does seem faster when browsing.

I, too, was finally offered 2004 just now. All backed up - let's give it a whirl!
Now is the time to check if Chrome browser is working properly —in case you happen to use it— because some users are reporting that they are automatically signed out of the browser after installing the Windows 10 May 2004.

My old laptop was finally offered 2004 and is at about 65% installing now. It's been very slow.

EDIT: Had to revert to 1909. 2004 was unable to find a driver for some unidentified utility. That's the same problem I had when I tried upgrading the laptop with an ISO via Media Creation Tool earlier. With absolutely no idea what it is, I can't find whatever is missing. Booting into safe mode and working through every possibility an item at a time involves more work than 2004 is currently worth to me.

My two older AMD systems were finally offered the update as an option so they're both downloading it now.

Haven't seen either issue here, but then I haven't been running 2004 for very long. Both Chrome and Edge seem to be operating properly.

My HP DV7 just got it offered as well. Downloading 0%. It will be awhile bit I'm ever hopeful.

Edit: Finished in an hour and 20 minutes. All seems okay so far. Have not tried printing yet.

Waiting for Microsoft to make a few changes...

I have two of my laptops completed and I still have one more to do but I think I will wait a while and see if Microsoft makes any improvements such as eliminating some of the ESENT 642 messages.

Well, it's still being blocked for me even if I'm in the first group or whatever. And Microsoft still haven't told me WHY it's blocked, or what the compatibility issue is exactly... And no, none of the "known issues" relates to my machine, at all.
    How about now?
