Offered it today on an intel laptop so decided to go for it. Bouncing between 'Getting things ready' and 'Installing'. Wish it would make its bl***y mind up.

My Windows Update had yet to show 2004 as of 2:30 pm EDT today. Just used Windows Update Assistant...smooth as silk. Start to desktop about 45 minutes. "Winver" says 19041.329 and everything looks good and functional...so far...(see "My Computers for my machine specs).

Just got a CU that updated me to 19041.329. Since I did 19041 with an iso and the "problem" has been fixed??, will the people who done this get another update/patch/cu to include the "fix"?

    What problem fix ?

If you are referring to the delayed / staggered rollout that is not a problem, MS had a reason although they are not sharing.

When running the upgrade assistance, it tells me that my PC is supported, and it even recommended to upgrade, but so far I didn't receive the upgrade visa windows update!

Do you recommend me to upgrade? or wait to get it though Windows update?

As I read so many people recommend to wait, cause it contains lots of bugs

Take this with grain of salt but this says win 2004 can force upgrade after pause date expires.

Woody is saying that this could be a specific bug within the pause option.

If you haven't received the OK for the upgrade via Windows Update, it is not advisable to circumvent it by going to Upgrade (Update) Assistant. Even worse, it is no good either to try the MCT (ISO) from which you will only get the version for the fast ring as far as I know.

In a way, you have summed it all up and this quote will probably convince you to wait:

How widespread each issue is remains unknown, and while Microsoft hasn't yet confirmed the problems, it has provided workarounds for some of them and has implemented compatibility holds for nine of them. For each of the compatibility holds, Microsoft advises against manually installing Windows 10 2004.

I cannot agree more. Yes, you can get lucky and all goes well, to the best of your knowledge. I tried it on a hard hold and got a big plate of spaghetti, overcooked. A mess. TG for Macrium backups.

This IS important. We've all become very adept at finding ways to circumvent issues, finding our own solutions, sharing those tools with others. And that's good. Use caution with this one, it's got a mean streak.
