Then they would have to tell you what wasn't tested throughout the Insider rings or what Feedback they didn't feel important.
my pretty old laptop/low end (before intel core duo T-6600 now T-9600) also got many problems when first move to slow ring /now beta channel.to get 2004 version headache and frustration i got two BSOD but not for my intel core 7 PC smooth and no issue yet till Dev channel latest build..i think also MS got headache find out real problem in 2004 version.
My bog-standard ThinkPad T450s is showing in WU not yet ready for the Windows 10 2004 Feature Update from v. 1909 Pro. I'm not concerned as I've no intention of 'upgrading' for a few months yet, but I can't see anything in my specs that correlate with Windows Updates v 2004 list of reasons that the up date's not bering offered. My BIOS, drivers and Windows updates are all up-to-date (checked out with Belarc Advisor). Just wondering lf others with ThinkPads of a similar vintage are also 'on hold' for the moment? As I said, I've no desire to upgrade yet even if 2004 is offered, just interested to know how the updates are being metered out.

Microsoft Confirms Another Issue with IMEs - Affects Windows 10 Version 2004
- and not even all Surface machines are compatible with it at present.
Many issues, only some disclosed, and it's a dynamic one. tenforums has discussed at least 3 bugs in 2004 affecting at least some users that are not on MS's list.
I'll just keep my ear to the ground and keep an eye on the forum updates, then (if that's not going to to give me a crick in my neck!) - thanks for the links!
It's only blocked on one machine for me - the one with conexant audio drivers, which is an issue MS have ben "investigating" since 27th May. I'm not holding my breath for this being sorted as conexant audio drivers have only been updated once in the 4yrs I've had this machine, and that was when it was discovered conexant audio drivers had been shipped to HP machines with a keylogger. That was back in 2017.
On another note, I *may* be having a Lenovo C940 14 inch with a 4K screen coming my way. ! I saw something on reddit recently about 2004 being blocked on this machine too. Does anyone know if this is still true? Someone also said it borked the sound bar.
This morning, there was no longer a message on Windows Update that 2004 wasn't ready for my ThinkPad, so perhaps whatever was getting in the way has been resolved. I did get a notification from Lenovo of a new Intel HD Graphics Driver 20.19.15.5126 15 Jul 2020 which I downloaded and installed, so that might have been the missing piece of the jigsaw. I'll still be waiting a couple of months before installing FU 2004, nevertheless.
