I see what you are saying my friend. I checked my settings that you described above and I had my passwords options turned off in both places so they would not be deleted yet they would still disappear after closing Edge. The Edge Chromium I had before the update 2004 would save your imported passwords without having to sign in to your MS account and it was the same with Chrome. Now since the update both Edge Chromium and Chrome require/force you to sign in to your accounts in order to see and use your saved passwords. Personally I think this is a way for MS and Google to collect data and monitor what you do on the internet and take a peak inside your computer. I may be overly cautious but the less I let these two spy on what I am doing the better off I am. I completely removed Chrome from my computer and I have stored Edge Chromium back in my start menu and off my taskbar and it would have to be extremely important for me to sign in to Edge with my MS account again. I will continue to keep Firefox as my default browser and Ice Dragon 64 bit as my backup. Thank you so much for the info below as I am sure those that use Edge did not know about what you found. Take care my friend.
Cheers
Malwarebytes (Beta) Just got update that needed restart of app (so bigger update than the normal ones) no major build# change still 4.1.2 but will see if it fixes anything.
I don't use any backup program i tend to store all my music pictures, and important documents on to backup drives connected to a docking station, I don't have any important files on the computer itself. so if something happens i just do a clean install of windows.
What is your plan if your external drive goes bad? It happens more often than you might think.
If you have data on aninternal drive and an external drive that at least doubles your chance of your data surviving.
Is the topic as title or about Back Up Plans, I ask as I keep getting notifications and ideally it is for the former as like many want a few fixes for 20904 not the latter.
