Maybe we need to make a complete shutdown a part of the process. And perhaps to turn off Fast Start for the update.

I just woke my computer up from sleeping all night. After I started Firefox it froze. I had to hit the computer reset button to get the system working again. What I don't understand is was the problem cause by a problem 2004 has with sleep or the Malwarebytes Premium I have. I have three choices:
1. Go back to 1909
2. Disable sleep for now
3. Disable Malwarebytes and only depend upon Defender
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I just checked that I have Malwarebytes v.4.1.0.56. Malwarebytes says I have the latest version/
I just turned Ransomware Protection in Malwarebytes off.
I am going to turn Windows sleep back on. I need to do this so that I can verify that Malwarebytes was the real cause of the problem.
Update:
I just booted up my laptop. When I started Firefox it froze the same way. I opened Malwarebytes and turned Ransomware Protection off. Firefox immediately started working normally again.

Have a look at some of your return codes: 1 or 0x1: Incorrect function called or unknown function called.
2 or 0x2: File not found.
