I'm worried too. They say that the new Windows will be a completely new version and that, therefore, it will erase outdated programs, as well as so many other programs that would not be compatible. How is it that Microsoft takes so many freedoms in matters that are not their own?How is it that to "update" you have to throw Windows out the window? Can we wait a few months to update? Are there solutions to not update in the short term?
Where did you read that? It's just an update afaik

I got W10 in August 2015 and yes, there were a couple of older programs that were not compatible and had to be removed, but that was only things like Microsoft Security Essentials that you wouldn't need anyway.

Since then every Feature Update has been a 'completely new version', but no further outdated programs were added to list of those deemed incompatible. I'm still using PaintShop Pro 7 and Autoroute 2000, both over 20 years old now.

I'm a little lost. Although I am, nominally, an Insider, I have never worn any version of any ring. But I know that now in May, Microsoft would release a great update. Can you tell me if this is the case? If so, can you tell me what it's going to be called? Finally, will it be reliable to install it? Thank you all for your support.

When ? Nobody knows but it supposed to be 2004, same as slow insider ring which was allegedly already given to OEMs.

I have been using Windows 10 build 19041.84 since 13/04/20, ( installed from an ISO, not a "ring" build ) which has moved on via Windows Update to 19041.264, which is apparently the latest update of 2004 .

It has been showing symptoms of graphics freezing in .264 and stopped screensaver working for 2 weeks or so.

AMD RX590 graphics worked normally previously with current driver , but now only works with older Feb 20 driver

Driver update today Latest AMD Radeon Graphics Driver for Windows 10 might work unless you've already tried it.

Are you using those in VM or a regular Windows 10 OS? And are all features working?

Regular x64 W10 Home 1909 on my System One below. Both are fully functional, and both are being run in XP compatibility mode. I have restored a Macrium image of that system to a VM to test upgrading to the 2004 RP, they run perfectly in that too.
